Interface for choosing flats in new houses.

Russian Zillow. The most popular product for searching, selling and buying houses in Russia with more than 15 million users per month.

When I joined the team, they had started to launch a new product with new houses. We wanted to unite all new houses in Russia in one place. Nobody did that before. One of the main task was to give users an easy tool for choosing flats.

There was the same pattern for displaying flats. All of competitors displayed flats via a list with sizes, prices and a quantity of floors. We understood it was a wrong way.

We interviewed our users with some experience of buying or searching flats in a new house. After more than 15 interviews, we understood that the main factor in choosing flats is spatial. It is how a house stays compared in another house, what is around, which side will the sun shine, where is a flat on the floor and more.

So I created an interface for choosing flats on the map.

We collected new houses on the map. If you zoom in we show you a bottom sheet with information about flats in the house. Green house is already built; orange ones are just being built. You can easily see the prices and what is the surrounding — a road, a park, a factory or something like that.

If you tap on a house, you can see available flats. Filters can help you to look for the specific option. You can add liked flats into your favourite list.

Such an interface gave us one more advantage. We have covered 93% new houses in Russia for two years and we have increased conversion more than in 20%.
